About me
Kecia Chin is an experienced Teacher of the Alexander Technique specializing in performance, posture re-education, and conservative spine care. After earning her theatre degree from Carnegie Mellon University, she completed her Alexander Technique training at the American Center for the Alexander Technique in New York City in 1999.
For more than two decades, Kecia has maintained a thriving private practice and led workshops nationally and internationally. She works at the intersection of performance psychology, embodied awareness, and movement education — helping individuals address chronic tension, performance anxiety, scoliosis management, and vocal strain.
As a certified yoga teacher trained in Hatha, Vinyasa, Iyengar, and Bikram traditions, she integrates breath work, alignment principles, and mindful movement into her teaching. Known for her clarity, presence, and depth of knowledge, Kecia supports artists, leaders, and everyday professionals in developing structural integrity, resilience under pressure, and authentic stage presence.
