Kim Jessor received her certification from the American Center for the Alexander Technique in 1981. She taught on the ACAT faculty until the school closed in 2018, serving as Director of Teacher Certification from 1991-1994. Kim has focused much of her teaching career on working with actors; as Alexander faculty at NYU Tisch School of the Arts Grad Acting program and undergraduate drama’s New Studio on Broadway. She has a private practice in NYC, and has given workshops at various institutions including The New School College of Performing Arts Drama program, A Blade of Grass Foundation for Socially Engaged Art, Mannes School of Music, Brooklyn Conservatory of Music, Chautauqua, and the Miller Healthcare Institute for Performing Arts Medicine. She was a movement coach for American Horror Story Season 11 and Feud: Capote vs. the Swans. With colleague Carolyn Serota, she co-created the video REMEMBERING JUDY: A Centennial Celebration of the Life, Work, and Legacy of Judith Leibowitz.
