About me
DAVID OROMANER (he/him/his) is a Chicago–based musician and educator specializing in drum instruction and the Alexander Technique. As a drum instructor, David focuses on refined technique, rhythmic breath work, and coordinated body mechanics to help students achieve greater ease, efficiency, and musical expression.
David began his Alexander Technique training at ACAT in New York City and completed his AmSAT 1,600-hour certification in Chicago under master teacher Daria Okugawa.
As a teaching artist, David has taught at institutions including Mima Music Academy, University of Illinois Chicago, College of the Desert, and University at Albany. He has presented music and movement masterclasses throughout California, New York, and Illinois.
As a performing artist, David has recorded and performed with a diverse range of musicians, including Max Bennett, Llew Matthews, Changing Modes, Mambo NYC, and PJ Loughran. During his time in New York City, he was a performing member of the Carnegie Hall Neighborhood Concert Series.
David is an alumnus of The Collective School of Music and holds a Master of Science (MS) degree from Touro College.
