About me
Ruth Diamond trained with ACAT and was certified in 2004. She assisted on ACAT faculty from 2004 until its closing in 2018. She has worked as a nurse-psychotherapist, nursing instructor, a programmer and a healthcare systems analyst. She was a long-time member of the editorial staff for the AmSAT Journal and has written many articles for the AmSAT Journal. Her three-part series on the early history of the Alexander Technique in the United States was published in the first edition of the on-line Alexander Journal. She has published articles the American Journal of Nursing. Ruth retired from teaching in 2024 and is devoting her time to Alexander self-work. writing fiction and memoir and Alexander Technique history. She is an avid traveler by bicycle and other means and hopes to continue doing that as long as possible. She has treasured her time inAT Science Cohort and the experience it has given her in working with the oppositional pulls of belonging and individuation.
